COLUMBUS, Ind.–A man in custody for an alleged rape last week has now been formally charged by the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office. Representatives with the department say that Teddy Allman, 46, of Elizabethtown, was arrested on September 10 for the rape and battery of a woman who lived at a residence in an Elizabethtown mobile home park. At the time, Allman was charged with rape with a deadly weapon, domestic battery with serious injury, intimidation with a deadly weapon, criminal confinement with a deadly weapon, and invasion of privacy.
On Friday, Allman received formal charges of rape (a Level 1 felony), criminal confinement (a Level 3 felony), and intimidation (a Level 5 felony).
