COLUMBUS, Ind. – Six people were arrested after the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team received tips from a concerned citizen. According to the Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department, the tips led to enough information for law enforcement to secure a search warrant for the residence at 3113 13th St.
Prior to executing the warrant officers learned the target suspect in the investigation, James Franklin Wood II, 34, was leaving in a vehicle. Woods was stopped near Gladstone and McKinley Avenue. He was allegedly in possession of approximately 13 grams of heroin, three grams of methamphetamine, syringes, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded handgun.
A search of the home reportedly led to the discovery of marijuana, heroin, syringes, paraphernalia, and a controlled substance. Also arrested in the investigation were Michelle Clark, 42, Christopher Tays, 29, Whitney Bunting, 28, Timothy Dunham, 51, and Mackcena Kirby, 45.
