Man charged in Trafalgar domestic dispute

TRAFALGAR, Ind.–An Indianapolis man landed behind bars after an incident in Trafalgar on Wednesday evening. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says that Antonio Barroso, 18, went to an ex-girlfriend’s house and then refused to leave when she asked. The woman eventually locked herself in a bedroom and called 911.

When deputies arrived at the address, they say the suspect was nowhere to be found. Moments later, officers received word from the Trafalgar Police Department that they had detained a man identifying himself as Antonio Barroso. Investigators say that as they spoke with him they noted the smell of alcohol on his breath. Law enforcement also discovered that he was wanted on a previous juvenile court warrant. A certified breath alcohol content test allegedly returned a reading of .153 percent.

Barroso was taken to Johnson County Jail without incident. He is facing charges of consumption of alcohol by a minor, the previous juvenile court warrant, residential entry, and criminal trespass.
