Traffic stop nabs man wanted by Jackson Co.

COLUMBUS, Ind.–An officer with the Columbus Police Department pulled over a car for a minor traffic violation, near 2nd and Jackson Streets, in Columbus, just before midnight Tuesday and it turned out to be more than just a normal traffic stop.

Public information officer Lt. Matt Harris says the patrolman discovered the car’s passenger, Zachary Moore, 21, of Columbus, had a warrant for his arrest from Jackson County. Moore was taken into custody. The vehicle’s driver, Tara Stark, 38, of Columbus, was also arrested when a search of the car turned up a syringe in the center console. Both were transported the three blocks to the Bartholomew County Jail.
