FRANKLIN, Ind.–Two people were apprehended near a Franklin motel Wednesday when they were identified as having previous warrants out for their arrest. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office says that William King, 34, and Morgan Bowker, 23, were also thought to be connected to a truck theft.
The sheriff’s department received a call saying the two suspects had stolen a truck and were also wanted on previous warrants. Officers say the found the truck at the Hill-Top Motel in Franklin parked near one of the rooms. Deputies confirmed with the motel office that the names of the individuals who had rented the room were the suspects. When they knocked at the door, King allegedly exited the back of the room and ran.
Bowker was taken into custody at the motel, while King was found in an adjacent neighborhood and arrested a short time later. Both were taken to Johnson County Jail and charged with their previous warrants. The investigation into the truck theft continues.
