TAYLORSVILLE, Ind.–A sheriff’s deputy found an unconscious woman in her car in a Taylorsville parking lot on Thursday morning. The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Department says that after the officer made several attempts from outside the vehicle to rouse Kyra Miller, 30, of Columbus. When that failed, he opened the car door to try to get her attention.
When the woman was finally awakened, the deputy allegedly found in her hand a plastic baggie containing two syringes, three pills, three baggies of a white powdery substance, and three foil packets of a brown substance. As the car was searched in more detail, law enforcement says additional syringes, black scales, foil, and baggies were located inside.
The suspect was arrested and transported to Bartholomew County Jail. Miller was charged with possession of a controlled substance, heroin, methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and legend drug injection devices.
