SEYMOUR, Ind. — Jackson County United Way (JCUW) is working with local schools and businesses to provide Valentine’s Day cards to senior citizens.
Students from Redding, Cortland, and Jackson Elementary prepare cards as a way for students to give back to their community.
Volunteers at AISIN USA are creating Valentine’s in conjunction with an appreciation event for JCUW donors at the plants in Seymour.
Volunteers will deliver them for Valentine’s Day on Friday along with a friendly visit at the site.
“Valentine’s Day is about showing a little extra special attention to those we love. As we all celebrate the warm feelings that come from this day, we must also be aware of those who might face loneliness or no longer have their favorite Valentine living with them,” said Bonita Dobbs, program manager for JCUW.
