VALLONIA, Ind.–The Indiana State Police placed a man in Jackson County Jail following his Friday arrest on charges of sexual misconduct with an underage girl.
Sgt. Stephen Wheeles, public information officer for the Versailles post of the Indiana State Police, says Derrick Williams, 38, of Vallonia, was the target of an investigation that started Thursday when they received word of allegations of Williams having a sexual relationship with a young girl, between the ages of 14 and 16, over a two-year period. State police were informed of the supposed relationship by the Jackson County Department of Child Services and the Child Advocacy Center in Dillsboro, Indiana.
