Stolen IDs found on female fugitive

Amber F. Harris

COLUMBUS, Ind.–A Bartholomew County woman was arrested early Tuesday morning in the 1100 block of Washington Street, in downtown Columbus, after police officers confirmed a warrant for her arrest.

Lt. Matt Harris, public information officer with the Columbus Police Department, says when Amber Harris, 33, of Columbus, was taken to Bartholomew County Jail, officials discovered various forms of identification on her person that did not belong to her. The items allegedly included social security cards, identification cards, a checkbook, and a birth certificate that had all been reported missing in 2017.

Harris was charged with the outstanding Marion County warrant, plus possession of stolen property.
