Warrant call serves up two arrests

FRANKLIN, Ind.–Deputies serving a warrant on a Franklin woman made a bonus arrest on Monday afternoon. The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office had located their subject, Andrea Perry, 24, at an apartment on Puller Place in order to take her into custody for a previous warrant. When officers met her at the door, they noticed her boyfriend inside the residence. It was discovered that this individual, Lanny Poindexter, 37, of Franklin, also had an outstanding warrant.

As they were being handcuffed, Perry and Poindexter allegedly admitted to having syringes on their persons. Both were transported to Johnson County Jail, each booked for their previous warrants and possession of a syringe. Poindexter earned an additional charge for possession of heroin that deputies say they found during his arrest.
