On My Way Pre-K seeks higher enrollment

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind.–On My Way Pre-K in Bartholomew County seeks to increase its enrollment for this fall. At Monday night’s Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation board meeting, On My Way Pre-K project manager Erica Woodward and BCSC Pre-K director Shane Yates reported on the pilot program’s first year of 2017. The initial school season served the families of 33 children, of which 15 of the young students attended BCSC schools, while the others went to other certified providers in the county.

On My Way Pre-K awards grants to four-year-old children from low-income families so that they may have access to a high-quality academic agenda the year before they begin kindergarten.

Enrollment for fall 2018 is scheduled to begin in March, with the program able to handle 100 children in its second year. An exact date has not been set, but you can follow the latest On My Way Pre-K news on their Facebook page.
