BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind.–Comfortable temperatures and a break from the humidity made for ideal conditions for the kickoff of the Bartholomew County Fair this weekend. Thousands ventured out to the fairgrounds to enjoy the food, shows, animals, midway, and motorsports. This week, temperatures are expected to rise slightly with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s, while lows will be in the mid 60s.
In the grandstand, Truck Drag racing is the main event Monday night, with Midwest Three-Quarter Racing hitting the track on Tuesday evening and Full-Throttle Monster Trucks on Wednesday. The midway will feature $1 rides Monday starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday is community day on the midway, where those with physical or mental disabilities may ride for free, from 2 to 4 p.m. (midway is closed to the public during this two-hour period). The midway opens to everyone at 5 p.m. on Tuesday.
