RISING SUN, Ind. — A southern Indiana woman is credited with assisting a conservation officer during an altercation Monday around 12:30 p.m.
An off-duty conservation officer was responding to a suspicious person complaint on State Road 56, about 10 miles west of Rising Sun, when he got into a confrontation with Justin Holland, 32. The suspect resisted arrest and a fight ensued. Holland was immediately given first aid but died later at an area hospital.
