COLUMBUS, Ind.–Officers with the Columbus Police Department arrested a Bartholomew County woman Friday afternoon after she allegedly threatened another person with a knife during a dispute. Public information officer Lt. Matt Harris explains that police responded to a residence on North Beatty Street in regards to a disturbance.
Police say a struggle ensued as an attempt was made to take Kristi Cross, 30, of Columbus, into custody a short time later. During the altercation, Cross allegedly threatened authorities on the scene who were arresting her. Investigators later located drug paraphernalia as well as a knife inside a bag that belonged to the suspect.
Cross was remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail and charged with intimidation with a deadly weapon, intimidation of a law enforcement officer, resisting law enforcement, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
