FRANKLIN, Ind. – Three goats had no time for Johnson County animal control officers this week, leading them on a chase through Franklin.
Officers were contacted when a mother goat and her two babies were running loose Monday. The two babies were captured quickly. However, mom put up more of a fight.
The goat was chased from the east to west side of town.
“She went through neighborhoods, fields, woods and crossed several major intersections,” said Johnson County Animal Control Director Michael Delp.
The goat was eventually apprehended Tuesday night in the parking lot of Tractor Supply Co.
“For anyone in Franklin who saw me running through their yard, I apologize it wasn’t intentional, I was just tracking a goat,” Delp joked.
The agency is seeking the owners of the goats. Anyone with information should contact Johnson County Animal Control at 317-736-3924.
