JENNINGS CO., Ind. – A Jennings County deputy recently was confronted with a drunk man claiming that he would shoot himself.
Officers were called to a home in Geneva Township Jan. 2 on a report of a disturbance caused by an intoxicated person.
The officer arrived at the home and found the man holding a handgun to his own head. The deputy was able to talk him into putting down the handgun.
Officers say the man wanted to be shot by police so he didn’t have to shoot himself.
