COLUMBUS, Ind. — A North Vernon man was arrested Friday after inappropriately touching a female resident at a Columbus nursing home, police said.
Benjamin R. Reinert, 34, was booked into the Bartholomew County Jail on charges of sexual battery, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting law enforcement.
Police received a call around 9 p.m. that Reinert was drunk and causing problems at the nursing home.
Staff members said he was seen urinating outside the building and threw grass clippings on one of the residents.
Reinert allegedly touched a female resident inappropriately right before the officers arrived.
