GREENWOOD, Ind. — An Avon man faces charges following an altercation with his girlfriend in a Greenwood home, police said.
Deputies responded to a home in the 5000 block of Mount Pleasant Center Street after the caller hung up the 911 call.
The victim told police that a playful altercation became violent when William Evans, 42, began to choke her.
Police say evidence led to Evans being arrested. Evans spoke with the victim while being transported by police from the house and allegedly claimed he would kill her, according to the police report.
Evans was booked into the Johnson County Jail on charges of strangulation and intimidation.
