FRANKLIN, Ind. — The smoking rate in Johnson County has declined by 5 percent over the past year.
Numbers show the rate dropped from 24 to 19 percent. Smoking during pregnancy has also declined to 15 percent.
The statistic was released with the 2016 County Health Rankings which rated the county in the top 10 statewide for health outcomes.
