INDIANAPOLIS — A Johnson County family is receiving the Hoosier Homestead Award for 100 years of owning the farm.
“Indiana’s economy is stronger because of our thriving agriculture industry,” State Rep. Eric Koch said. “Operating a farm for more than a century is a significant investment and it is an honor to recognize the Long Farm.”
The Hoosier Homestead Award Program recognizes farms that have been owned and maintained by the same family for 100 years or more. The Long Farm has been in operation since 1909.
