INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Indiana State Police issued 109 tickets and 1,500 warnings during the first year of Indiana’s “Slowpoke law.”
The law states motorists cannot continue to operate a vehicle in the left-most lane if they know another vehicle is attempting to overtake. Exceptions are when a motorist is making a left turn, if an emergency vehicle is to the right, or because of bad weather or obstructions.
Indiana State Police say most of the feedback from the public has been positive.
