JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call of a suspicious person near a residence on County Road 600N Thursday evening.
The caller believed the person walking around the house was casing it, in an attempt to burglarize. When deputies arrived. they saw a white car parked in the driveway of a stone house. One of the deputies approached the house and stated he could hear someone inside tossing things around.
One of the doors of the residence opened and two males emerged from the doorway. Juan M. Perez, 43, of Franklin, and Lance N. Hypes, 33, of Indianapolis, were stopped from going back inside the residence. Perez and Hypes would not speak to deputies in any way. Closer inspection of the door showed forced entry and broken glass.
The suspects were transported to the Sheriff’s Office separately.
