COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police responded to a bank in the 2000 block of 26th Street on Friday in regards to a report of fraudulent activity.
The suspect, Blake R. Nichols, 21, of Columbus, attempted to cash checks that had been reported stolen. He tried to leave the bank when officers arrived and began fleeing on foot. Officer Jeremy Jones discharged his taser and Nichols was apprehended. Officers searched the suspect and located drug paraphernalia and a small amount of heroin.
