GREENWOOD, Ind. — Johnson County deputies responded to a report of a possible hit-and-run accident Friday evening.
The victim told deputies that she had been sitting at a stop light on State Road 135 and Olive Branch Road when she was hit by another vehicle from behind. The victim said she immediately pulled into the turn lane and turned her flashers on, but the other vehicle drove off at a high rate of speed. The victim followed the car and was able to get the driver to pull over.
The driver responsible for the accident, Rylee Enders, 18, of Franklin, told deputies she did not think she caused any damage and did not know what she was supposed to do, so she drove off.
During questioning, one of the passengers in the suspect’s car started acting suspiciously and deputies noticed the smell of marijuana. Deputies searched his person and located a plastic bag of marijuana and another bag with several pills inside. The passenger, Tyler Adkins, 19, of Franklin, was arrested and taken to Johnson County Jail.
