COLUMBUS, Oh. — Columbus, Indiana food artisans from 240Sweet, Alexa Lemley, 42, and Samantha Aulick, 44, were involved in a car accident with Lemley’s mother, Christine Lemley, in Ohio over the weekend.
The family was travelling home after participating in the Bacon and Beer Classic food and beverage festival Saturday, in New York City.
The Ford Expedition, driven by Aulick, was struck head-on while travelling on Interstate 71, near Columbus, Ohio. The impact caused the sport-utility vehicle to catch on fire, but the three women were able to escape.
All three were taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Alexa Lemley injured her knee and Aulick has a broken leg and is wearing neck brace. Meanwhile, Christine Lemley shattered her elbow and had other minor injuries. All three were wearing their seat belts.
Investigators in Ohio did not have any details regarding the occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash.
