INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) announced the latest round of data in an ongoing ground water quality study.
The study includes samples from Indiana’s 92 counties. IDEM’s Ground Water Monitoring Network (GWMN) sampling activities initially began with funding provided through a 2008 U.S. Environmental Protection Agency grant. Thousands of samples have been collected from hundreds of public water supplies and thousands of private, residential water wells, since the program began.
The entire 2016 GWMN Report is available online. More information, including the GWMN data set, facts sheets about ground water quality in Indiana and resources to help protect private water wells can be found on IDEM’s website.
