SEYMOUR, Ind. — Work on a 16-mile section of U.S. 50 in Jackson and Lawrence Counties is scheduled to begin August 1.
Crews will start with patching operations, then pavement milling should begin on August 8. Asphalt paving is scheduled to take place between August 29 and September 16. Intersecting road approaches and driveways will be paved from September 19 – 27. Motorists can expect flaggers to guide them through one-lane work areas. Delays are expected.
The project is valued at $2.5 million, and the scheduled completion date is October 31. Statistics show more than 5,200 vehicles per day use that section of U.S. 50.
