INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A report released by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety says nearly 80 percent of motorists express significant anger and aggression while behind the wheel.
Documented behaviors were purposefully tailgating, yelling at another driver, angry gestures, blocking or cutting off another vehicle and exiting the vehicle to confront another driver. Ninety percent of people surveyed believe aggressive drivers are a threat to their safety.
In order to prevent or deal with aggressive drivers, AAA officials say try not to offend another motorist, be tolerant and if confronted by an aggressive driver, do not respond.
