BROWNSTOWN, Ind. — A Brownstown man is in jail after beating his girlfriend because she wouldn’t make pancakes for him.
Police responded to the 1300 block of South County Road 150W in Jackson County Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. on the report of a fight. When they arrived, they found an unconscious female who had been attacked.
Residents told police Tyler David Chaney beat and bit the 17-year-old girl after she refused to make pancakes for him. Chaney fled the home when the police were called. The young woman was transported to Schneck Medical Center.
Police found Chaney in the 200 block of West Spring Street later Wednesday evening and arrested him for battery causing serious bodily injury, strangulation, aggravated battery, and intimidation. He is being held without bond in the Jackson County Jail.
