COLUMBUS, Ind. — Officials are investigating at least five suspected fraudulent voter registration forms in Bartholomew County. All five appear to have the same hand writing, are from Marion County, and do not contain all the required information.
Indiana State Police recently expanded their investigation from two to 56 Indiana counties after raiding the offices of the Indiana Voter Registration Project on Tuesday. Detectives spent about eight hours in the building collecting evidence. That evidence included voter registration application forms with fictitious names, addresses and birth dates, or any combination of the three. There are active investigations in Bartholomew, Johnson, Jackson, Brown, Jennings and Decatur counties.
Despite the discovery officials maintain the integrity of the voting process.
