COLUMBUS, Ind. — A burglary investigation led to the arrest of Columbus man Monday.
A homeowner in the 1000 block of Central Avenue received a security alert and confronted a man later identified as, Barry Williams, 48, attempting to break into her home with a crow bar. Williams fled onto Haw Creek near 7th Street and Central Avenue, where police apprehended him. Police found the crow bar sticking out a damaged rear door at the property and took it as evidence.
Williams has been charged with burglary and criminal mischief.
