ARLINGTON, Ind. — Police in Rush County have broken up a marijuana distribution ring with ties to Indianapolis.
Officers from the Rushville Police Department and the Rush County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant Monday evening in the 9800 block of West U.S. 52 and arrested Robert Coulter, 37. Initial charges include dealing in marijuana, corrupt business practice and maintaining a common nuisance.
During a search of the property 3.5 pounds marijuana with a street value of $8,400, drug paraphernalia and more than $22,000 in cash was seized. Police also seized a vehicle, weapons, cell phones and prescription medication. Coulter told police he had about 130 customers in the Indianapolis area.
Additional arrests are possible.
