GREENWOOD, Ind. — The Greenwood redevelopment commission has approved the first projects to use the “G.R.O.W. (Granting Revitalization and Opportunity for the Workplace) Initiative.” The initiative supports the efforts to improve the aesthetic appeal of businesses along major corridors.
The project at 622 North Madison Avenue will facilitate $50,000 of improvements, $25,000 private investment and $25,000 in matching grant funds. The project will improve the façade of the business locations of Storm Chiropractic Clinic.
The second project will improve the properties from 223 to 241 Main St. A total of $166,000 will be invested, including $83,000 in private money and $83,000 in matching grant funds.
Both projects include new signs, windows, landscaping, lighting and fencing.
Greenwood Mayor Mark W. Myers says the G.R.O.W. initiative continues city efforts to both enhance quality of life and encourage economic development.
