Seymour, Ind.—The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released a new, quality rating for hospitals in October. Schneck Medical Center was among the top three percent of hospitals in the nation. Schneck was one of only 112 hospitals in the nation to receive this honor and, one of only nine healthcare centers in Indiana.
This is the second time Schneck has received a five-star rating, which is the highest rating for customer service, quality of care, and actual value of health care received.
“This distinction is a testament to the staff and their continued focus on quality care for our patients and community,” said Warren Forgey, President/CEO of Schneck. “Schneck continually strives for excellence, always pursuing and implementing the industry’s best practices.”
The assessment and accommodations come from a hospital rating system based on 64 quality measures. These range from one to five stars, and they show how well every hospital performs in comparison to others within the United States.
