GREENWOOD, Ind. — A Greenwood man involved in a suspected overdose and crash on Thursday, was found dead Friday near a pond at the Willow Lakes Subdivision. It was less than 24 hours after he had been involved in the Thursday accident with three other vehicles.
On Friday, a passerby called 911 after seeing Corey Hillis, 23, face down near the pond. Deputies called medics and immediately began to assess Hillis. The officer at the scene said Hillis did not have a pulse and did not appear to be breathing.
Around 6 p.m. Thursday, deputies used narcan to revive Hillis after a crash on southbound State Road 37 at County Line Road. After being revived, he told police that he had taken the prescription Suboxone shortly before the accident. Hillis was transported to a local hospital for treatment and then eventually released.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is conducting the death investigation.
