SEYMOUR, Ind. — A 64-year-old Seymour woman was killed Tuesday when a trash fire got out of control and burned several acres.
Reports indicate Ramona Blackburn was burning trash in the 700 block of North County Road 1240E around 5:35 p.m., when the incident occurred. The Jackson County coroner has cited a heart condition as the cause of death. Blood test results are not yet available. Her body was found by her husband after firefighters arrived to put out the fire.
