INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Ivy Tech Community College has been recognized as the top two-year institution in the nation for awarding associate degrees.
Records indicate the college awarded 9,954 associate degrees during the 2014-15 school year. The figure doubles the second college on the list, Houston Community College. It is the fourth year-in-a-row Ivy Tech has earned the honor from Community College Weekly.
President Sue Ellspermann says, “Ivy Tech Community College is thrilled to see so many students earning their associate degree. Lumina Foundation has set a goal to have 60 percent of our workforce holding a degree or certificate by the year 2025. With Ivy Tech’s facilities, program offerings, and faculty and staff, we are well equipped to help meet that goal.”
