FRANKLIN, Ind — A Franklin man was arrested following a domestic incident Tuesday.
The victim told police she had been drinking with Darin Stokes, 51, when an argument erupted. Allegedly, Stokes smacked, choked and pushed the victim into a crank used to open and close a window. The victim told police she was choked so hard she felt as if she was going to pass out. The victim called her daughter to take her to the hospital for treatment.
Police interviewed the victim at the emergency room and went to the Stokes residence on South U.S. 31. Stokes was arrested at the scene and charged with domestic battery and strangulation.
