COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police made an OVI arrest after a minor traffic accident Tuesday afternoon.
Shortly before 5 p.m. police were called to the 3400 block of North Talley Road and found Anthony Britt, 31, swerved off the road and struck a mailbox. Britt told police had made the evasive maneuver because an oncoming car was in his lane. While speaking to police a strong odor of alcohol was detected.
Britt failed field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample that tested at .123 blood alcohol level.
