SEYMOUR, Ind. — Due to extreme draught conditions, Jackson County officials have implemented a burn ban. The ban prohibits camp fires (unless enclosed in a fire ring 23 inches in diameter and at least six inches in height), and open burning of any kind, plus charcoal from permitted grills shall not be removed from grills until completely extinguished.
The order will remain in place until rescinded by officials.
