COLUMBUS, Ind. — A traffic violation led to drug charges for a Columbus woman over the weekend.
Police began the investigation when they observed Sasha Penrose, 32, driving near Beam Road and U.S. 31 with an expired plate on Friday around 3:15 p.m. Penrose was issued a citation and the vehicle was towed. During an inventory of the vehicle, police located two digital scales with methamphetamine residue on them.
Penrose was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
