COLUMBUS, Ind. — A Westport woman is facing multiple charges after being stopped in possession of a stolen car Saturday.
Around 10:15 a.m., police observed the vehicle in an alley near the 700 block of Werner Avenue. Melissa Hulse, 34, was found in a nearby residence. Hulse told police she purchased the car and produced alleged paperwork from the transaction.
An investigation determined Hulse forged signatures on the title and other paperwork. She was charged with auto theft, forgery, and an outstanding Marion County warrant.
