WHITELAND, Ind. — Leadership Johnson County is sponsoring Canstruction Jr., January 14, at the Whiteland High School Auxiliary Gym. The competition challenges students from county schools to use STEM fundamentals to build 3-D structures with canned goods. The canned goods will be donated to local food pantries following the event.
Student groups of 10 or less must register by December 16 at johnsoncountycanbuild.weebly.com/. Teams are also required to collect the canned goods required to build their design. The build will take place on the morning of Saturday, January 14, and judges will declare the winner that evening during the third quarter of the Johnson County Boys Basketball championship game.
