COLUMBUS, Ind. — Columbus police confiscated drugs during a shoplifting arrest at the Walmart in the 700 block of Whitfield Drive early Saturday morning.
Police reports indicate that Elijah Ferril, 27, wrapped a pair of speakers in a sweatshirt and attempted to leave the store without paying for the merchandise. Police captured Ferril after a brief foot pursuit. During a body search, police found heroin and paraphernalia.
Ferril has been charged with theft, drug possession, possession of paraphernalia, and resisting law enforcement.
