SEYMOUR, Ind. — One person was arrested following an investigation of shots being fired in Jackson County.
Indiana State Police and sheriff’s deputies responded to the Ironwood Apartments Friday around 4:30 p.m. Witnesses told police they heard five to seven gunshots.
As short time later, police say they found Thomas Young, 39, in the 400 block of Colvin Court with a gun. After being disarmed, he told police he fired the weapon into the ground about five times in order to scare his neighbor. Young was arrested for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.
No injuries were reported.
