COLUMBUS, Ind. — The city of Columbus leaf collection program will be extended beyond the scheduled end date of December 19. Department of Public Works spokesman Bryan Burton says, the wet summer has caused the leaves to remain on longer. If the area receives measurable snow the program will resume after the snow is cleared.
Residents are asked to rake leaves behind the curb for pickup on the same day as the normal trash day. In order to keep storm drains clear, leaves should be kept behind the curb and out of the street.
