JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. — Beginning Friday, December 30, tolls will be charged on three Ohio River bridges leading to Louisville. Bridges included are two Interstate 65 bridges (Abraham Lincoln Bridge and John F. Kennedy Memorial Bridge) into downtown Louisville, and the East End Bridge connecting the Gene Snyder Freeway.
The bridges will use an all-new tolling system called RiverLink. The system allows for no stopping, no slowing, no lines, and no coin machines.
Drivers can set up a RiverLink prepaid account and will receive an E-Z Pass transponder. Drivers with prepaid accounts will pay the lowest fares. Drivers without accounts will be billed and will pay higher fares.
Drivers that don’t pay tolls will be charged penalties and could face restrictions.
Accounts can be set up online at riverlink.com/ or by calling 855-RIV-LINK.
