SEYMOUR, Ind. — The Indiana State Police say a Jackson County woman was seriously injured in an accident Tuesday morning on State Road 258, west of Seymour.
Around 10 a.m., a truck driven by Richard Santel, 46, of Carlyle, Illinois, crossed the centerline near Bell Ford Drive and struck a car driven by Nancy Wilson, 72, of Seymour. The Seymour Fire Department and Jackson County EMS extricated Wilson from the car, and she was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital. Santel was not injured.
Santel was driving a truck owned by Rose Acre Farms and was required to take a drug and alcohol screen.
The crash remains under investigation.
