CHURUBUSCO, Ind. — The co-founder of Mike’s Express Car Wash has been killed in a northern Indiana crash.
The Whitley County Sheriff’s Department says Edward Dahm, 86, and his dog, were westbound on U.S. 33 when he suddenly sped up and crossed the centerline, colliding with a motor coach containing 40 passengers. The impact took the life of both Dahm and his animal. Fourteen passengers from the bus were transported to local hospitals.
Dahm founded Mike’s Express Car Wash in 1948 with his brother, Joe.
