Discard live Christmas trees curbside

COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Department of Public Works is now picking up residential Christmas trees. To dispose of your live tree, remove all decorations and put it on the curb where your trash toter is placed. Trees will be picked-up on your regular trash collection day, now through January 20. Because the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays have fallen on weekend days this year, there will be no changes to the city of Columbus trash and recycling collection schedules.
